Connect brings talented teachers and artists under one roof to come together and impart unparalleled quality education in dance creating an unprecedented pre professional contemporary dance training program in Bangalore.
The focus lies in the education system and teaching methodology in contemporary dance by giving students exposure not in just the technique, but also by devising ways to develop one’s own unique vocabulary through the medium of contemporary dance.
Connect – the unprecedented pre professional contemporary dance training program in Bangalore – includes lessons in choreography, music appreciation, floor work, flying low technique, release technique, urban dance, somatic practice, art appreciation, dance writing and film.
The course is open for dancers from beginners to intermediate level.
We have opened entries for auditions now. The audition videos can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The faculty members will review it and get back to you in 7 working days. Please do attach a letter of intent along with your dance video.
There are two batches for the program:
Weekday batch: Mon to Thurs – 7am to 9am
Weekend batch: Saturday and Sunday – 10am to 2pm.

The Lineup Of Top 9 Acclaimed Contemporary Dance Teachers:
Sahiba is a release based contemporary dancer. Heading the dance vertical at Meeraqi which is an arts organisation in Indiranagr Bangalore, Sahiba consistently aims at creative collaborative artistic work with a strong social awareness narrative. In Connect pre professional contemporary dance training program in Bangalore, Sahiba will focus on teaching release technique and choreography creation to the emerging artists and dancers.
Rahul is a performer, teacher and choreographer who has travelled extensively around the globe and is trained under Katie Duck for improvisation, Vangelis and Dabid Zambrano for flying low, Peter Jasko for contemporary technique and many more. He is the founder of integrated dance flow which is his own unique contemporary dance vocabulary. In Connect, he will be teaching improvisation technique along with flying low technique.
Ronita is a choreographer/ performer. She has been a guest performer invited by Goethe Institute for a Dance Production in Theatre Bremen, Germany. She was the winner of Best Performance in PECDA 2017 hosted by Prakriti arts foundation and winner of Bench 2017 hosted by Two Faced Dance Company, UK. Sue presented her piece ‘Who?’ during her 7 city tour with the bench in UK. Ronita will be teaching contemporary technique with emphasis on acrobatics and floor work.
Parth has been a repertoire member of ACMA, Bangalore and the jury winner of PECDA 2017 along with 3 other choreographers. He toured with the park festival in 2017 with his piece. Parth will teach contemporary dance technique in the Connect program.
Prashant is a contemporary dancer who has been touring with Atul Kumar’s latest production Khwaab sa. He also toured at the park festival with Abhilash Nigappa’s piece Architect of Self Destruction at Park Festival in 2017. He also toured with Ronita Mookerji’s piece “Who?” sponsored by Two Faced Dance Company, UK. He also premiered his piece ‘Another Day’ last year in Bangalore. Prashant will be teaching flying low technique in the Connect program.
Anisha is an ex repertoire member of TLDC, Anisha Mankikar Naidu specialists in Core strength and Conditioning. She is the founder of CoMo (Core in Movement) workshops, and is a Guest faculty for Pilates and Core Strength & Conditioning at Terence Lewis Professional Training Institute. Anisha will be teaching Pilates and body conditioning as part of her own technique called CoMo.
Junaid is very widely recognized as an urban dancer. His unique choreographies set him apart from many others. He has a very original flavor in his choreographies and works very closely with musicality. Junaid will be teaching music appreciation along with urban dance in the Connect program.
Atul is the creative head of LFRD, and has intensively travelled and worked with many choreographers and teachers including Katie Duck, Amsterdam. Atul also presented his Solo work at PECDA, 2017 and toured with Architect of self destruction in Park festival in 2017. Atul will be teaching choreography and contemporary technique in Connect program.
Nakula is a senior facilitator, choreographer and dance planner based out of Bangalore. He has set up The Kha Foundation which is a trust and the foundation aims at bringing different artists and dancers together to create meaningful art. Nakula is also a senior faculty member at TLDC. Nakula will be a guest faculty in the Connect program. His classes will be master classes exploring various ways to move and question.
